Mexicali is the state capital of Baja California. Known as "The city that captures the sun" it has long, hot summers and short, cold winters. Mexicali is located on the border of Mexico and California and got its name from combining the two words: MEXI-co and CALI-fornia. Mexicali offers a wide variety of activities.
