“The Cancun Celebrity Golf Invitational sanction Cancun and Isla Mujeres to promote themselves as not only one of Mexico’s most important tourism centers, but also as golf’s newest paradise destination,” said Jesus Almaguer Salazar Director of the Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau.

There are very attractive packages offered throughout the year providing tourist with variety when visiting Cancun and the possibility to enjoy the destination’s treasures,” said Mr. Almaguer.

The First Celebrity Golf Invitational consists of two golf tournaments. The first one will be a “Skins” format for celebrities only. The other, will be a Pro Am design, where one celebrity will lead a team of three amateurs.

During the awards ceremony at the Hacienda Tres Rios Resort & Spa, an autographed Sports Memorabilia Silent Auction will be held, with all proceeds donated to U.S. and Mexico Charities. A Texas “Hold’em” poker tournament will also take place at the Resort and a portion of its proceeds will also be donated.
