The Bahias de Huatulco Eco Tourism Mexico
Huatulco is a new resort destination, most of the hotels here are newer, larger and upscale. And because Huatulco is still in the early stages of development, there are only a dozen hotels to chose from. Looking for a wider selection? Come back in 20 years when Huatulco has been completed. At that point Huatulco is expected to offer approximately 20,000 hotel rooms and 2 million annual visitors! Yikes! Enjoy the solitude while you can.
Most of the hotels in Huatulco are located right on the beach. There are a few hotels located a bit inland from the ocean, and they tend to be more affordable. Laws dictate that no hotel can be over six stories tall, unlike Acapulco to the north.
