The Bahias de Huatulco Mexico Tourist Destinations
Las Bahias de Huatulco is the most recent tourist destination to be developed by the Mexican Government on 22 miles of bays on a spectacular coast. Verdant jungles crawl out of the hills to mesh with white sand beaches and clear protected coves for miles in all directions.
The weather is warm, the sky is clear, and the Pacific Ocean is warm all year long. Because Huatulco is a relatively new destination, most of the hotels and infrastructure are new as well. In an effort to make Huatulco more of an eco-friendly destination, the Mexican government has set aside 40,000 of the 52,000 acres in the area as an ecological reserve.
Environmental groups are keeping a close watch on Huatulco and it's tourism progress. Huatulco is quite removed from the pace often experienced at some other Mexican resorts.
