If you are US citizen and your stay in Mexico will be for less than six months, you only need to travel with your valid US passport or US passport Card. On the airplane, you will receive a form called FMTTV. Just check the option on the form for “Business Visitor”.

It is very simple to obtain a Mexican visa for business. Just follow these three steps:
1. Apply in person at the Mexican Consulate, from Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 1:00 p.m. You do not need to make an appointment.
2. Present your original passport and a copy, 2 passport size photos without glasses, and 1 original letter of the company you work for in the United States, specifying purpose of the trip, place and length of time for your stay in Mexico and if the company will cover your expenses during your trip to Mexico.
3. The visa will be issued the same day that you apply if your stay is for less than 6 months.
