San Miguel de Allende

Historically the town has enjoyed a privilege place in Mexico. When it was founded in 1542, its was a main stop on the Antiguo Camino Real silver route and Mexican Independence hero Ignacio Allende was born there. Mexico’s Secretariat of Tourism, SECTUR, has named it a Magical Town for its unique ambience and its representatives have been working on making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
