Grand And Gracious Tradition Around The State
A Dean of Instruction from Pima Community College came to Veracruz to revisit wonderful old memories and to visit our language immersion school.
Many years ago, as graduate students, she and her husband
traveled the State of Veracruz. The small town of Fortin de las Flores holds the most special of memories for them.
We all took a day off from work and drove to Fortin. The town’s changed, of course, but not everything. The grand and gracious hotel resort, the lovely place they stayed, remains the same. Gardenia blossoms float in the fountain. Gorgeous gardens are here and there and everywhere. The majestic entry and lobby are incredibly inviting.
The Dean and her husband are back in the US. They’re highly competent associates and good friends. In their stead, maybe we’ll return to Fortin with some of the school’s students and enjoy a night in Mexico’s past glory, a past glory that lives on today--open to everyone and warmly welcoming all who come.
